Le site TM Exchange a relativement récemment interviewé Florent de Nadeo au sujet de l'opération TrackMania Forever, voici apparament de nombreuses fonctionnalités qui seront ajoutées (et aurevoir les boosteurs)

* De nouveaux blocs seront proposés mais seulement pour les environnements de TrackMania Original, à savoir Desert, Snow et Rally, et pour l'environnement Stadium.
* L'eau de l'environnement Desert sera rebondissante, de même pour celle de l'envrionnement Rally.
* Les trous noirs sans fin seront supprimés.
* Le respawn sera implanté dans TrackMania Nations : Forever.
* Le serveur maître de TrackMania Nations tournera encore mais sera probablement réduit.
* Pour atteindre le haut du ladder il faudra d'abord passer par des serveurs officiels avant d'arriver au serveur « Top Rank » pour être le n°1.
* Il y aura deux serveurs « Top Rank » : un pour Nations et un pour United.
* Aucune décision relative aux mixmaps (maps modifiées par hexadécimale) n'a encore été prise.
* Les contenus personnalisés seront plus restrictifs pour les joueurs de TrackMania Nations : Forever.

The web site TM Exchange inteview de boss of nadeo about forever name operation. There are many news abilities for TMUF and TMNF

- There are new blocks only for the Classic TMO environments (Desert/Alpine/Rally) and the Stadium.
- From what is inferred by the way he answered the new Desert Water will be bouncy as in the TMS environments and Rally water will now be upgraded too. No more falling into space by driving into the pond.
- TMN-Forever will have checkpoint respawns.
The TMN classic master server will be kept running, but may be reduced if it impacts the TMN-F master server.
- If you want to get to the top of the ladder you will have to work your way up through other servers in order to be considered for entry to the Top Rank official server, which will be the only place you can become no1.
There will be two of these, one for Nations one for United.
- Custom content will be much more restricted in TMN-F.

But then I'm gonna shutdown the TMN one.

So only a tmnf server if we can train the match tracks in tmnf and have the same times as in tmn (if we can't race in tmnf)

1ères impressions:

Très long en chargement entre les maps
Très long après avoir fini une map pour repartir
C'est minable de repartir du dernier CP quand on se vautre
Beaucoup trop de monde à mon goût, on ne voit rien
Très beaux graphismes en revanche

Bref, le 1er contact ne m'a pas emballé du tout, on verra avec plus de pratique....
